micro1 is engaging Senior NDT Inspectors (Level II/III) to contribute expert insights to a client's critical engineering project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This engagement is ideal for professionals passionate about elevating standards in non-destructive testing and advancing the field through remote project-based contributions.

Scope of Work

1. Analyze and interpret radiographic images (RT), ultrasonic scans (UT/PAUT), and magnetic particle (MT) or penetrant (PT) test indications.
2. Review authentic inspection data and provide meticulous written and verbal evaluations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section V, API 510/653).
3. Apply advanced knowledge of weld defect acceptance criteria to make disposition recommendations on flaws and indications found in welds and components.
4. Evaluate thermographic imagery or remote visual inspection (RVI) footage as needed, contributing expert judgement to diverse inspection scenarios.
5. Produce clear, concise, and technically accurate reports that document findings, rationale, and recommended actions.
6. Collaborate asynchronously with technical peers to resolve complex or ambiguous indications, enhancing overall project accuracy and reliability.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project protocols based on industry best practices and evolving compliance criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Active ASNT or ISO 9712 NDT Level II/III certification in relevant methods (RT, UT/PAUT, MT, PT).
2. Minimum of 8 years directly interpreting radiographs, ultrasonic/PAUT scans, MT/PT indications, and related NDT data in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
3. Thorough working knowledge of US and international codes and standards (ASME Section V, VIII, XI; API 510/570/653; API 1104; AWS D1.1).
4. Expertise in making nuanced accept/reject determinations according to code-based acceptance criteria.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially in authoring detailed technical documentation and delivering feedback to technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Demonstrated ability to conduct objective, quality-focused work independently in a remote setting.
7. Experience evaluating thermography or RVI data is a plus.
