Job Summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a practical, collaborative, and business-oriented healthcare attorney to serve as Senior Counsel, At-Home Solutions. This role will support growing healthcare businesses within At-Home Solutions at an exciting point of acquisition, integration, transformation, and operational momentum, including:

• Cardinal Health’s DMEPOS businesses, which provide medical supplies to patients managing chronic and serious health conditions

• Cardinal Health at-Home, a direct-to-home distributor of medical products and supplies

• VeloCare, Cardinal Health’s hospital-at-home supply chain and logistics solution

The Senior Counsel will provide commercial legal support across one or more of these At-Home Solutions businesses, depending on business needs and the candidate’s experience. The role is expected to support commercial contracting, strategic relationships, operational matters, new services and business models, and other business priorities.

This is an opportunity to provide practical day-to-day legal support for businesses that are expanding, integrating recent acquisitions, and building more consistent ways of working across the At-Home Solutions portfolio.

The successful candidate will combine strong legal fundamentals with business practicality, sound judgment, and the ability to provide clear, actionable advice that helps the business evaluate options, understand risk, and execute responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a day-to-day commercial legal partner for one or more At-Home Solutions businesses, providing practical, risk-tailored, business-oriented advice on commercial and operational matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements across customer, supplier, vendor, manufacturer, distribution, services, technology, logistics, and strategic relationships.

• Counsel the business on contract risk, new services, commercial models, operational changes, customer requirements, contracting strategies, and interpretation of existing agreements.

• Identify relevant legal and compliance issues, communicate risks and options clearly, and involve subject-matter experts when specialized guidance is needed.

• Support strategic projects, integrations, technology implementations, service launches, commercial disputes, contract interpretation questions, and customer or vendor issue resolution.

• Work with Privacy, Marketing, Sourcing, Operations, Sales, Regulatory, Compliance, and other partners to evaluate and structure commercial arrangements and support significant business initiatives.

• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, intake processes, practical guidance, and training to improve contracting speed, consistency, and risk management.

• Manage multiple matters and competing priorities while providing timely, responsive support and escalating significant risks appropriately.
